Hi everyone! Sorry, I made this post so late. I don’t know why I’m so lazy to make one. I have many movies that I’ve downloaded and I can’t help to watch them first. LOL. Lately, I have a breakout too so I can’t make a post about IOPE Air Cushion’s review for you. This time I made a blog post about nail polish review. I got this from Rini Cesilia’s giveaway here. She gave me a lot of prizes, but I can’t make reviews at the same time. I’m sorry. I’ll make them as soon as possible. Now it’s time to share you my review. Enjoy!

It is packed in circle glass bottle which has Holika Holika’s logo on it. Very cute and simple. The applicator is very handy. 

Holika Holika Pastel Nails has 7 colors. Mine is sweet mint. I think you can call this color as cyan or turquoise. It has watery texture. The scent is nothing special. Just like usual nail polish scent

I love nail art, but I can’t do it neatly because I rarely use nail art. It’s sheer when you apply one layer. I apply it 2 layers to make it full and vivid. I’ve used it for 3 days and still as good as the first time. I can use it alone, but since I love sparkle I combined with sparkle polish from Etude House one. It looks more beautiful.

I love turquoise, but never tried this color on my nails before. When applied, I think it’s fit with my light-medium skin tone and I love it!

This product is very easy to use, even for the amateurs. The result is as same as it claimed. It has many colorful pastel colors. I love this nail polish. Maybe I’ll buy different colors next time, especially Milk Orange one.

MAC Makeup Brush Set Review

Hi, girls! Few moments ago I won Rini Cesillia ft. Etude Recipe's giveaway and this brush is one of the prizes. I got this when I needed a brush set. That's why I was super excited.

For makeup lover, newbies or experts as well definitely need makeup brushes. My friends commented, "Why did you buy a brush set? For what?". Sometimes they asked, "I think you should buy brushes that you need only". And the worst comment is, "Why should you need brush? I don't need that". Well, makeup brushes are like magic stuff for me. A nice makeup needs nice applicators to be applied. Compared to fingers, makeup brushes do better. One day you will realize the function of a brush set. Each brush type must be used because they have their own function in makeup application.

It’s super duper gorgeous. It comes with the tube case which the brushes can be placed on. The tube has keys button to keep each parts stick. The plus point of this tube case is easy to put the brushes on it, not like a wallet case. And it can stand, so the brushes can be put on each part. I got in rose color. The other giveaway winner got a cyan color. Honestly, I prefer in cyan. But rose color is not bad. The case color matches with the brushes color. It has a neat stitching and looks professional. It contains 12 brushes with different functions. There are numbers on the stick. But sadly they don't have brush names so I guessed the functions based on their appropriate shapes.

   134 - Powder Brush    

It is used to apply the powder with sheer coverage. It is best for glowy makeup lovers who only need powder to make the foundation, bb cream or concealer set. This brush can be used for applying blusher too. It has large dimension and thick bristles, so it can reach the face area nicely. It comes with a plastic cap to keep the bristles in a good condition. Unfortunately, the bristles of this powder brush already fell out when I received this brush. I tried to pull the bristles and it still fell out. It is very thick, I can tolerate the fallen bristles.

   168 - Angle Brush   

It is for shading because the shape is suited with hand degree when applying bronzer. It can be used as blush brush too.

   187 - Airbrush Foundation Brush   

For applying foundation with airbrush effect to create a flawless skin. It gives matte result. This brush comes with a plastic cap like powder brush.

   190 - Foundation Brush   

For applying foundation too, but it gives a glowy result.

   209 -  Pencil Brush   

It used for detail area. I used to apply silver eyeshadow on the point of my eyes to brighten them

   212 - Flat Eyeliner Brush   

I used this to line my bottom liner. I think this brush is a bit thicker to be used for eyeliner, so it can't create a thin line

   214 - Large Eyeshadow Brush   

For applying eyeshadow. I love to use this brush because it can apply eyeshadow in large area and save my time

   219 - Blending Brush   

Use for blending everything. Especially for creating the smokey eyes.

231 - Concealer Brush

For applying concealer. The bristles dimension is too small, about 3 mm. It more useful for covering dark spots or acnes than dark circles.

   266 - Angled Eyeliner Brush   

Use for apply eyeliner. It has a thick bristle as flat eyeliner brush. I put eyeshadow on my eyeliner with this brush to make it long lasting

275 - Angled Eyeshadow Brush

I used to apply nose shading and outer V for creating smokey eyes

   316 - Lips Brush   

It has a metal cap. Very hygienic and travel-friendly. It's a bit long but handy. It is more comfortable to use than mini lip brush.

- Have fluffy bristles and hard to fall out

- Made of synthetic bristles. I have an allergy with animal bristles.

- Powder and foundation brushes come with plastic cap

- Has a handy size

- Neat packaging

- Has no brush name.

- The powder brush bristles keep falls out. 

- The eyeliner brushes are too thick. It can't create a thin line.

Overall, I recommend this brush set especially for beginners who searching for a complete Makeup brush set with affordable price. For the professionals, I suggest you to get the better brush set. But I think it's okay if you want to try this.

MUSLIMAH – BLUSH ON DUO | ROSE QUARTZ Review

Halloo beauties~~ Beberapa waktu yang lalu aku diumumin sebagai Giveaway Winner - Muslimah ft. Sophie Paris dari kak Nindy (Silver Treasure). Dan aku dapat kesempatan untuk mencoba salah satu dari rangkaian makeup Muslimah yang merupakan produk terbaru dari Sophie Paris. Hadiah yang aku menangkan adalah Blush On. Sebenarnya aku dapet produk ini cukup lama, tapi baru sempat review sekarang.

Blush ini made in Malaysia dan didistribusikan oleh Sophie Paris Indonesia. Ada expired date-nya jadi kalian tahu kapan untuk beli blush on baru.

Bentuknya lucu, kaya bentuk salah satu handphone Nokia zaman dulu. Kotak padat dengan lengkung di 2 buah ujungnya yang berlawanan. Packagingnya kecil sehingga blush on ini travel friendly. Kesannya simpel, luwes dan unik dengan warna emas dan tulisan “Muslimah”. Blush on ini agak berat dibandingkan blush on koleksiku yang lain, mungkin karena punya mirror didalamnya.

The brush is a BIG NO! Besarnya cuma seukuran 2 ruas jariku. Dengan warna yang pigmented dan kuasnya yang mini, aku rasa kuas ini ga bisa membaurkan warna dengan baik. Bulunya juga sedikit kasar. Aku lebih suka membaurkannya dengan kuas khusus blush berdimensi besar.

Blush On ini punya 2 warna, pink dan red orange. Agak kecewa sih, karena ekspektasiku warnanya peachy orange ternyata red orange, mencolok pula. Ternyata setelah swatch warnanya bagus dan pigmented. Teksturnya sedikit chalky atau menyerbuk, jadi setelah dioles kuasnya lebih baik ditepuk-tepuk dulu. Untungnya dia matte. Cocok untuk everyday natural makeup.

Warnanya cantik kan? Pink membuatku kelihatan cute. Sedangkan red orange kesannya lebih segar. Aku pribadi sebenarnya suka blush on warna peachy atau warna yang mendekati. Tapi untuk blush on ini, aku lebih suka yang pink karena lebih kelihatan natural dibandingkan red orange.

Sebagai newbie, tentunya butuh banget dong belajar tentang dunia makeup, Selain dari beauty blogger, melalui Youtube kalian bisa menemukan beauty Youtuber yang membahas bermacam-macam tutorial dan tips about all of beauty things.

Dari sekian banyaknya beauty Youtuber yang aku subscribed, ada beberapa yang benar-benar jadi favoritku dan sering banget aku tonton videonya, termasuk didownload hehe. Ini dia beauty gurus favoritku dari beberapa negara dengan orientasi makeup yang berbeda.

Get It Beauty

Reality show asal korea ini banyak diminati oleh para beauty addicts di dunia. Get It Beauty ini sudah berjalan 2 season. Season 1 main host-nya adalah Eugene (ex girlband S.E.S), dan season 2 main hostnya adalah Yoo In Na. Season 2 ini masih on-going di Korea, membahas tentang all of beauty topics. Ga cuma buat cewek, tutorial buat cowok pun juga ada. Saat sesi makeup tutorial selalu mengundang penonton ke panggung untuk menjadi modelnya. Tips dan trik dari MUAnya keren dan mudah untuk diterapkan. Paling ngakak itu waktu lihat episode Lee Hong Ki (FT. Island) yang membagikan tutorial Nail Art. Aku baru tahu kalau Hong Ki doyan nail art. Dia grogi waktu ngasih kuteks ke tangan model yang dipilih dari salah satu penonton. Bukannya modelnya yang grogi, tapi malah si Lee Hong Ki yang grogi :D 

INSITE TV - Pony Beauty Diary

InsiteTV sebenarnya channel TV yang menayangkan berbagai macam program, baik kuliner, musik, reality show, berita, lain-lain terutama beauty & fashion. Ada beberapa program beauty & fashion disana, tapi yang paling kusuka adalah Pony Beauty Diary. Kenapa? Karena Park Hye Min eonnie ini membuat tutorial makeup dari daily sampai character makeup pun ada. Video tentang tips makeup juga ada. Dia sering menggunakan Korean product dengan detail produk dan swatch yang cukup rinci. Sering keracunan produknya juga sih. Aku keracunan waktu dia buat tutorial ft. Etude House tentang Etude House Play 101 Pencil. Tanpa ragu aku langsung berburu Play 101 pencil. Pony selalu memberikan tips pengaplikasian saat dia bikin tutorialnya. Dia berbicara dalam bahasa Korea di videonya, untungnya dia menyertakan subtitle inggris, jadi kita yang bukan orang korea masih bisa mengerti.

Jung Saem Mool

Jung Saem Mool adalah salah satu professional MUA di Korea. Dia pernah kerja sama dengan Kim Tae Hee, Lee Hyori dan banyak artis lainnya. Yang aku suka ada tips makeup dan tutorial ala KPOP idol. Produknya juga disertakan di setiap video tutorialnya. Jung Saem Mool juga pernah diundang di Get It Beauty buat bagi-bagi tips makeup.

JINAblog

JINA suka buat makeup tutorial KPOP Idol Inspired yang sekarang sedang booming dan banyak dicari para subscriber termasuk aku. Kalau lihat MV girlband kadang-kadang kita penasaran bagaimana tutorial makeup mereka, nah video-video dari JINA sangat membantu.

Aku paling aku suka dari channel Ssin itu video “Korean last empress Myeongseoung's traditional makeup tutorial” dan "Korean Kisaeng Hwanjini's make up tutorial". Yang sering lihat drama Korea era Joseon dan penasaran dengan makeupnya, video ini jawabannya

Asian Beauty Secrets

Aku suka channel Asian Beauty Secrets bukan gara-gara makeup tutorial sih, tapi karena dia banyak bagi-bagi tips tentang basic makeup application, cleansing, basic skincare, dan tips-tips mempertahankan kecantikan kulit. Dia menggunakan bahasa Inggris di videonya yang buat nilai plus. Kalau makeup Asian Beauty Secrets orientasinya ke Western.

Pertama aku buka channel Mayy karena ga sengaja lihat thumbnail video tutorialnya tentang K-Pop Idol inspired – Yoona SNSD “I Got A Boy” karena sekilas Mayy ini mirip banget dengan Yoona di video itu. Kebetulan aku juga suka dengan bahasa Thailand. Sayangnya dia ga menyediakan subtitle di videonya. Dia orientasinya ke Korean Makeup

Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan yang aku tahu punya jumlah subscriber tertinggi diantara international beauty youtuber. Dia juga mempunyai kisah yang menginspirasi, dari waitress sampai bisa menjadi founder of her own cosmetic brand, Em. Banyak tutorialnya yang sesuai dengan kulit orang Indonesia karena basic dia yellow undertone skin (Awalnya aku kira dia orang Indonesia loh waktu rambutnya masih warna hitam). Aku paling suka video “Cara Delevigne Inspired Makeup”. Cara Delevigne adalah model dari brand Burberry yang makeup dan fashionnya edgy. Long live Edgy looks!! 

From Head To Toe    

Si empunya channel ini Jen, benar-benar punya kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik sewaktu buat video. Seakan-akan video itu bukan tutorial, tapi ngobrol langsung. Tips-tips dan tutorialnya bermanfaat banget khususnya buat newbie. Produk-produk yang dipakai kebanyakan drugstore and Western product.

 Lisa Eldridge 

Aku addicted sama British accent dan Lisa Eldridge buat aku belajar dari channelnya dengan 2 tujuan. Pertama, belajar makeup. Kedua, belajar british pronunciation. Tutorialnya kebanyakan buat makeup sehari – hari, party, dan makeup khusus teenager yang lagi berjuang berat dengan namanya sensitive skin, breakout, acne dan lain-lain tapi tetap memakai makeup. Jarang loh menemukan channel beauty Youtuber yang buat makeup untuk teenager (dengan model teenager juga tentunya).
