How To Fix Blurry Pictures

Hello, my readers. After posted about PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR BLOGGERS last week, today I want to share you another BLOG 101 about HOW TO FIX BLURRY PICTURES.

For us, not bloggers only I think, the blurry pictures is familiar when taking pictures. When you are satisfied with your pictures and then you disappointed because it's blurry, what should you do? Are you take other pictures? No. It is not effective. It wastes time in my opinion. You don't have to take other pictures to get the perfect ones. The thing you should do is editing. I have tips about how to fix the blurry pictures here. Just follow my easy steps below.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 to edit my pictures.

   1.    First, duplicate your pictures.

   2.    Click on your duplicate picture. Make sure your duplicate picture is above your original one. Then click FILTER > SHARPEN > SMART SHARPEN

   3.   . When you see this notification, click OK

   4.    Now Smart Sharpen Tab is open. Change the RADIUS as you desire. I usually put 2.0 or 3.0. It depends on your pictures condition. Radius 3.0 maybe too sharp on Photoshop, but don't worry. It's not that sharp when you decreased the pixel size. Don't forget to change "the remove" with GAUSSIAN BLUR. Make sure everything set then click OK.

Now here is the result between original picture and sharpen one

Product Photography Tips For Bloggers

Hello, my readers. This time I share you something different. I will share you how I get my product pictures. Honestly, I'm not an expert photographer. I'm still learning about photography and I don't have  a lot of professional photography stuff that maybe other bloggers have. However, I think what I'm going to share here maybe useful for you. Enjoy ^^

   Camera Setting   

The most crucial factor in product photography is camera setting. You have to set ISO, Aperture, Macro, etc. You don't need to buy an expensive camera. For your info, I just use an old digital camera. I'm using Canon Powershot A710 IS just like on the cover picture above. Luckily it has manual setting. Not perfect but not bad. I will tell you about my camera settings on another post because it will be too long if I share everything here.

   Lighting   

I prefer to use natural lighting than artificial light for product photography. Natural lighting shows the best color because the color of the artificial light can bounce on your objects. But use natural lighting can be tricky. You have to choose the area which get natural light the best. I usually choose a room with big windows. And you may race with time because it may give you the blue-ish effect. The perfect time for me to take pictures is under 12.00 PM (GMT+07.00)

   Don't Use Flash  

I usually don't use flash when taking product pictures. The flashlight can bounce on your objects.

   Background   

The background influences your pictures very much, especially the color. Never use a background which has the same color with your object because it will be unseen. And don't use a crowded pattern. You want your readers focus on your objects, not on your background, right?

   Diffuser   

The diffuser is one of the important stuff that you should use on product photography. Don't have money to buy a diffuser? Don't worry, I don't have an expensive one too. LOL. But you can use aluminum foil, white card, or diffuse box. If you think your original picture is better than use the diffuser, go for it. But I suggest you to use it.

   Angle   

Go for the right angle. It can 0 degrees, 45 degrees or 90 degrees. It depends on your feeling. Try to take picture in variety angles until you find the right angle for you

   Use A Tripod   

My hands keep shaking and many of my pictures was blurred because of it. And the tripod helps me a lot. I just need to set the angle and press capture button with a finger. It's really helpful. Okay, I think not everyone have a tripod. If you don't have it, try to not shake when you shoot the picture. But if you have money to buy one, I suggest you to take it home.

   Questions that I have to answer   

 1.  What is/are your struggle(s) in blogging?
I'm lazy to write and struggle to maintain my blog during my busy time. As an architect, I dont have a lot of time to do blog.

 2.  What is/are your plan(s) for your blog?
Actually I have plans to buy a domain and change my blog's name into a simpler one. But it accomplished now :P
New plans? Maybe trying to maintain my blog better and buying properties for blogging photos.

 3.  Your favorite skincare brand and why
I keep changed my skincare products. But I will say K-Beauty brands are the best. And the most favorite brand is Laneige! I've tried Waterbank Essence and Water Sleeping pack. I haven't found the products which are better than those until now.

 4.  What do you usually do when you’re having your “me time”?
I prioritized my "me time" for blogging. I don't really have much time to blog because I'm busy with my job. That's why I use my free time to make drafts and take some blog pictures. I love watching movies or hang out with family/friends too.

 5.  If you were given a chance to hang out with one celebrity for a day, who would it be?
I'm desperately want to hang out with BIGBANG members! Especially T.O.P oppa. I often have dreams about hang out with him (or them) and I would be happy if my dreams become a reality!

 6.  Your favorite cuisine and restaurant
Honestly, I prefer my mom's cuisine than the restaurant has. I love Nasi Goreng, Lontong Kupang, Bebek Goreng (Fried Duck), Kare Ayam (Chicken Kari), and many traditional foods. But I would answer my favorite restaurant is Hoka-Hoka Bento. They serve the Japanese cuisine with Indonesian taste in my opinion.

 7.  If you could have any pet in this world, what would it be?
I would love to have a cat. A big and fat one. My parents don't allow me to have a pet since I took a homeless cat and she dropped her feces under the dining table. 

 8.  Favorite lipstick shade
A peachy shade with a slight orange tint.

 9.  Where would you go for a vacation?
Japan, Korea, Bali, anywhere as long as I can go shopping there :D

 10.  What/who can easily brighten up your day?
My mom and dad. They brighten my day when I have a chat with them, although I'm in the worst mood ever.

Gadzotica *Beauty Blog* New Domain - www.gadzotica.com

Hello, my readers. Do you recognize something different from my blog? Yes! I changed my domain! I had comments that my old blog's URL is kinda hard to catch, almost impossible to spell nor remember. My mistake, I didn't think about a nice URL at first. After read many articles about how to make a nice blog name, finally I got a nice one.

This month, I want to announce my blog's URL name from 

I change it just like my header name. See? The old one is really horrible right? LOL. 

Why did I choose that name? Okay, I ever think about to choose a name with something related with beauty. It's like "beauty", "peach", "pink", etc. But they are commonly used by many bloggers. I want something different. I tried to choose "www.gadzotica.com". It's very unique and I guess none will use that name.
